The Ecole Bilingue Avenir of Ngaparou opened its doors in September 2018 ! News environment friendly buildings, local ressources to develop solutions adapted to the field and Senegalese know-how.
We wanted to introduce you to this new project in more details :
The Ngaparou EBA is :
- A new secular school with as many classes in English as in French.
- Partnerships with local associations and businesses.
- Buildings built on the principles of a green school (Green Schools are healthy, high-performance education environments for both students and staff) with classrooms equipped with the latest technology.
- A library, place of knowledge, cultural development, pleasures of reading, socialization and personal fulfillment.
- A green setting between Ngaparou and Nguering, 45 minutes from Dakar.
- A park of over 6000 square meters.
- A large motricity room , 1 sports field, an outdoor pool.
A 100% bilingual curriculum !
The academic curriculum of Ngaparou EBA is 100% bilingual.
Our Goals is to expose our pupils to differents cultures from an early age. From Kindergarten to Middle School, pupils will have as many classes in English as in French provided by native teachers.
The EBA presents its pupils to the Cambridge Exams for the English certifications and the Institut Français exams to attest their level in French.
Rigorous and benevolent pedagogy
The children's intellectual development and the solidity of fundamental learning are our priority. Our teachers are trained in cognitive science to promote children's attention, their active engagement, their questioning and the consolidation of knowledge.
Finally, we encourage innovation with learning through play, experimentation, discovery, which creates positive synergies between students and teachers.
Our goal is to create an environment that inspires learning, encourages creativity, solidarity and collaborative work. In our school, students learn in small classes to develop their critical thinking, their role in a group and to learn to work as a team.
In this spirit of mutual respect and in order to develop a sense of belonging, pupils of Ecole Bilingue Avenir wear an uniform.
Additional services
The EBA Ngaparou welcomes children from 2 years (potty trained), from 7am30 to 6pm (every day of the week).
In addition, we provide a school bus service for all our students. Shuttles are available morning and afternoon from Saly and Somone. These vehicles are comfortable and meet all safety standards.
At the EBA, we offer healthy and balanced cooking for children with a large proportion of products from organic farming. Thanks to our garden and our educational farm, children are introduced to the respect of the environment.
The clubs
We welcome every day from 3pm to 4pm30, children attending Ecole Bilingue Avenir. Our pedagogy and values are also applied to children welcomed in the afternoon. Learning languages, discovering cultures and the planet are all topics covered in recreational workshops, whether sports, creative, culinary or artistic!
